Matthew 6:19-21 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
What does this mean to you? Does it mean you can’t have any money? Does it mean you must live in poverty?
No, it doesn’t you can have money but be reasonable about it. Don’t be greedy and keep storing it like there’s no tomorrow. There’s many of us who have very little money and we get along just fine without it. There are others that money is their desire. They have lost faith in the Father and money has become their god. Some dream of being rich so everything is just given to them. While some of us dream of heavenly things we have forsaken the things of this world.
The desires of the flesh are no longer an issue with us and the desire for material things no longer haunts us. The apostles and Yahusha had nothing at all and no cares of material things. The Father kept them fed and clothed, the sky was there roof and the flower and grass was their beds. To many today feel they need material things to make it in this world, but all the true messengers of the Father, we need nothing more than He provides.
We are ready at anytime to flee from the cities into the mountains without anything to look back for. Remember Lot’s wife, Her desires for what she had left behind got her into trouble didn’t it? She was turned into a pillar of salt. Don’t let your desires of this world come between you and the Father. I know it’s nice to have things, but if these things come between you and Him then you my friend will suffer for your Greed!!
Bless you in the name of Yahusha!!
